Course overview

Access to Engineering is an entry-level course designed to give you the first step toward further study and a career in engineering.

This is an excellent option for preparing for a Modern Apprenticeship as it combines a range of practical skills with theory. Alternatively, if you choose a more academic route, it will give you the necessary grounding to pursue further full time study.

This is a college-devised SCQF level 5 equivalent.

How the course is assessed

  • Portfolio based with some individual unit assessments.
