Adam Max-Lino Named FA Creative and Digital Media Student of the Year
After completing a Foundation Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media and gaining an insight into a career in the broadcast industry, Adam Max-Lino has his sights firmly fixed on working on TV and movie sets.
Adam has been named FA Creative and Digital Media Student of the Year at Prize Giving 2020. We asked Adam some quickfire questions about this Edinburgh College experience so far.
How do you feel about being recognised at Prize Giving?
A mix of emotions. Mainly, proud and ecstatic.
What made you choose Edinburgh College for your studies?
Edinburgh College did a presentation at my school on Schools College Partnership courses that students could do and the FA course caught my attention and encouraged me to look more into the course.
What has been the best thing so far about studying at Edinburgh College? Any highlights?
Getting opportunities to do work experience, such as working on a couple of live stream events. Also meeting other people, from lecturers to other students, that were also doing my course, and creating new friendships.
What are your plans for the future? Are you going on to further study after college or into employment? What is your end goal?
I am planning to go into Further Education at Edinburgh College. My end goal is to hopefully work on TV sets or movie sets.
Do you have any messages for the lecturers?
Jim Mason – thank you for the non-stop support and banter that you gave me for the last two years.
Looking back, is there anything you would do differently?
When I started the course, I was quiet and shy, due to not knowing anyone. So, I would try to be more vocal. Try to be more out there.
What are you most proud of that you have achieved while studying at Edinburgh College?
Creating new friendships with people that I would never have met if I didn’t do this course.
Describe your Edinburgh College experience in three words.
Hilarious. Enjoyable. Memorable.
