Experience Scotland with Edinburgh College's social and cultural programmes. Explore historic sites, join activities, and connect with international students.

Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. It is a city rich in history, renowned for its universities, stunning architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. The city also has many green parks and friendly people who will make you feel welcome. 

The city has many exciting places to visit, including: 

  • Historic and religious sites 
  • Parks and beaches 
  • Museums and art galleries 
  • Theatres 
  • Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse 

Edinburgh is also a great starting point for exploring Scotland and the UK. It hosts numerous arts and cultural festivals throughout the year, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe — the world’s largest arts festival, held annually in August. 

The social programme trips were all very enjoyable and I love spending more time with the other students.

Our Social and Cultural Programme will help you:

Summer School Social and Cultural Programme 

  • Three afternoon or evening activities per week (in Edinburgh) 
  • One full-day Saturday trip per week (outside Edinburgh) 

Year-Round Social and Cultural Programme 

  • Regular trips and social activities for all international students
