College launches new Strategic Plan 2030+

Edinburgh College has published a new Strategic Plan 2030+, For the Future We Want, setting out an ambitious vision to inspire student success, strengthen its communities and partnerships, and support regional prosperity across Edinburgh and the Lothians over the next five years and beyond.

The strategy has been developed through extensive engagement with the people who make the college what it is - staff, students and stakeholders - to ensure that it reflects the future people want to see for Edinburgh College. 

The plan focuses on four key strategic pillars which will guide the College's work through to 2030:

• Supporting Student Success by providing an inclusive and accessible experience where all students can achieve and progress.
• A Curriculum for the Future aligned with regional and national economic priorities and future workforce needs.
• Strengthening People and Partnerships through deeper engagement with communities, employers and staff.
• Future-Focused Resilience by investing in technology, financial sustainability and environmentally responsible operations.

Edinburgh College Principal and CEO Audrey Cumberford said: "Our Strategic Plan 2030+ sets out an exciting vision for the future of our College. This plan provides a clear roadmap for how we will continue to innovate and create opportunities for our students in a rapidly changing world."

Through the strategy, the College aims to further strengthen student outcomes, deliver a modern, cohesive curriculum, empower its people, revitalise its campuses and digital systems, and build sustainable, resilient operations. The result will be an inclusive, inspiring, future-ready College that delivers greater opportunities for all learners and plays a leading role in the region's prosperity.
