Course overview

This course will introduce you to the basic skills and knowledge required to get started in Studio Photography. You’ll be introduced to basic studio techniques and lighting for a product, still life and portrait photography. 

You’ll discover what studio equipment to use and how to control studio lighting to achieve the desired effect. You’ll then apply these skills in the planning and production of your product, still life and/or portrait photoshoots.

The course will also include post-production using Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop as an integral part of the digital workflow.

This course will include a combination of practical projects and self-directed study.

Number of days per week

  • One evening per week (Tuesday).

  • An interest in photography.
