Microsoft 365 (Office) 

What is it?  

As a student at Edinburgh College, you have access to Office 365 Education for free for the duration of your studies. This means you can access apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams from any web browser. If you have access to a compatible device, you can also install the Office 365 suite of applications for free. Plus, all the work you create will automatically be saved and backed up in the cloud. 

You get: 

• The latest Office apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
• The ability to install on PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones. 
• 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage. 

How to access   

On the Web 

Go to: https://www.office.com 

Sign in using your Edinburgh College email and the password you used when setting up your EC account.  

You can then select your application from the left side of the page or use the App Launcher to show all of the applications available to you.

Download and Install 

Go to: https://portal.office.com/account#installs 

Sign in using your Edinburgh College email (ecXXXXXXX@edinburghcollege.ac.uk) and password 

Select the version or device you’d like to download. 

Compatible devices include Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. If you don’t have access to one of these devices you can still access the applications on a web browser using the method above.
