Enjoy a Day of Music for Ukraine with students and staff from Edinburgh College.
Including:
- Singer-songwriters
- Acoustic acts
- Classical ensembles
- Rock and pop bands
plus special guests
All funds raised from the day will be donated to AUGB Edinburgh
The Association of Ukrainians in GB (AUGB) was set up in Edinburgh in 1946. The association was set up to support all Ukrainians who settled in GB or came to visit, to promote Ukrainian culture, heritage and language. AUGB Edinburgh Branch is one of only 2 branches left in Scotland. Music and dance has always been a big part of Ukrainian culture.
All moneys we receive would go to support all the displaced families arriving by opening our community centre to celebrate and commemorate Ukrainian cultural events. To have a safe welcoming space for all Ukrainians to embrace their own culture and meet other Ukrainians. We are also organising humanitarian aid to send to Ukraine and Poland, to date we have sent 4 lorries and helped supply goods for another 5. Amongst the aid we have sent sandbags, potatoes, flour and dried yeast, sleeping bags, baby items and toiletries.
