We are hosting WorldSkills UK National Finals at our Granton Campus this November and you are invited to come along!
The finals are taking place on Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 November.
What is the WorldSkills UK National Finals?
The event, ran in partnership with SkillBuild, sees the top students and apprentices from colleges and training providers from the UK’s four nations come together to compete in skills competitions relative to their field of study/vocation.
The finals culminate a year of qualifying heats which have taken place over last 12 months.

Visitors to the event will also have the chance to take part in a bespoke programme of fun and interactive virtual and hands-on activities including:

Construction Manager Game

And much more
Construction industry experts will also be on hand to provide pupils with an insight into careers within the sector, and various College departments will be showcasing their equipment, facilities and courses.
Who can attend?
Anyone can attend. We are inviting the public to attend between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 November. All that we ask is that you report to reception to sign in as a visitor, and from there one of our team will show you round our competitions and visitor experience route.
Car parking on campus
The lower back car park at Granton Campus will be closed from Thursday 10 November until Monday 21 November as a marquee is being erected there to host a competition final. The top and bottom level car parks will remain open but spaces will be limited. Students and visitors can also travel to Granton Campus via Lothian Buses.
