Investment 20/20 careers event inspires students
Edinburgh College’s Enterprise and Commerce team recently worked alongside Investment 20/20 to deliver an engaging and inspiring day of presentations and workshops for aimed at Business and Marketing students.
The event – which featured speakers and representatives from Investment 20/20, Future Asset, Abrdn, and Aegon AM – offered valuable insights into the dynamic world of investment management and the diverse career opportunities it holds.
The day began with an opening address by Jenny Barber, Director of Careers and Talent at Investment 20/20, who set the tone for an informative and interactive experience. Jenny was followed by Dougie Scott from Aegon Asset Management, who discussed the importance of investment management in today’s economy.
Students then participated in a series of workshops led by representatives from each participating organisation. These workshops focused on themes including Data Analytics, Networking, and Sustainability—highlighting that critical skills and knowledge in these are areas are essential for future careers in Business and Marketing.
This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to get some insight into the potential careers that await them at the end of their current courses.
