Course overview
HND Television with Multicamera Operations is the progression from HNC Television with Multicamera Operations, but if you have an HNC in a similar subject area or a strong portfolio of relevant prior experience you may also be considered for a place.
The course will build on your technical skills in camera, sound recording, editing and lighting, and you will further develop your multicamera skills, with a focus on working on the studio floor and in the gallery.
Most of the course is based on practical projects and activities. However, you will also further develop your written, analysis and academic skills, as well as preparing for working in the industry.

- You will be assessed through practical and written assignments
- You will complete project work and associated production documentation
- Your professional behaviours will also be taken into account
Number of days per week
- Timetabled classes on 3 days a week plus additional self-directed work which might be at home, on location or on campus.
Entry requirements
- HNC qualification in a suitable, related subject
- If you have relevant work and life experience, we also welcome you to apply and attend an interview

Upon completion of this HND course, you may wish to consider progressing onto our upcoming BA Film degree course here at Edinburgh College, to be delivered in partnership with Kingston University.
