Course overview
This course is specifically for senior phase school pupils while still at school.
This National Progression Award (NPA) at SCQF level 6 will introduce you to the dynamic travel sector and will allow you to develop the employability skills and knowledge that are important to industry employers. It will allow you to develop a good working knowledge of UK and global travel destinations and tourism and travel products available in Scotland and the UK. You will learn how to meet customer requirement, use online systems and understand the role of air cabin crew and holiday resort representative.

Number of days per week
- Two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) at 13.30 hours
Entry requirements
Candidates must have achieved 4 x National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above and be capable of working independantly on research projects.
Learners would benefit from having attained or be working towards:
- English at National 5 (SCQF level 5) or above
- Travel and Tourism Units at SCQF level 5 (Skills for Work)
- Social Subject at National 5 (SCQF level 5) or above

Successful completion of this qualification will count as one Higher for access to one of our HN Travel and Tourism courses in the following year.
