Course overview

This course is designed to give plumbing and heating engineers the knowledge to install Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems. This will allow the self-certifying of unvented hot water storage system installations. Successful candidates will achieve the BPEC Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems certificate and competency card.

What you will learn

Vented and Unvented systems and their operating principles
Design and installation
Maintenance
Compliance with other Building Regulations

How the course is assessed

You will be expected to complete two theory examinations and one practical assessment.

Entry requirements

Trainees must prove one of the following:

A recognised trade qualification SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating or Domestic Heating or be working towards one
Have evidence of several years of experience in the plumbing or heating industry.

English Proficiency Requirements
